John is the Director of CDM (Conservation and Demand Management) at PowerStream. He entered the energy sector 25 years ago with a Certified Engineering Technologist in Energy Conversion designation. He joined PowerStream in 2006 under the mandate of advancing the utility's CDM department into a leader in its conservation efforts and continues to work with PowerStream’s municipal partners to establish and identify common goals in conservation and carbon footprint reduction.

John enjoys time away from PowerStream at his “net zero” cabin where he collects rainwater and generates all the electricity he needs via the sun. This small paradise has been instrumental in teaching his kids (and all visitors) the value of the watt and the importance of keeping life simple.

He is a recreational sports diver and a member of the Canadian Sub-Aquatic Club. He has been on hundreds of diving adventures and most enjoyed diving on wrecks in the St. Lawrence River. One day John hopes to explore the waters of the Cayman Islands.
