CDM Champions are “All Business” when it comes to Save on Energy!

John Sherin, Director, CDM at PowerStream Inc. / 2013/01/03

PowerStream’s Energy Management team puts strong value into delivering conservation programs to customers that save you money and demonstrate your commitment to being proactive in the environment. PowerStream provides value-added financial incentives to help you identify and implement energy efficient capital projects as well as offering routine maintenance and equipment replacements in your facility. These projects help lower electricity bills and consistently save money. Whether you are a business (big or small), industrial or multi-residential customer, PowerStream’s Energy Management team can deliver a program designed to help you make the best energy-saving decision.

Our most popular program, the Save on Energy RETROFITOM program, is available for businesses of all sizes. It can provide up to 50 per cent of project costs in financial incentives and most recently has been associated to our CDM (Conservation & Demand Management) Champions program that recognizes organizations that make conservation programs, like the Save on Energy RETROFIT program, a key element of their provided services.

Each month, PowerStream profiles a different contractor, consultant, distributor or manufacturer who has delivered results through the Save on Energy RETROFIT program. We are committed to recognizing companies that are engaged in conservation and take advantage of the Save on Energy RETROFIT program and congratulate our CDM Champions for understanding that saving energy and growing a business can be a winning combination.

PowerStream’s January 2013 CDM Champion is …

I am pleased to announce Hidi Rae Consulting Engineers Inc. (Hidi Rae) is PowerStream’s January 2013 CDM Champion!

Hidi Rae Consulting Engineers - January 2013 CDM Champion

Hidi Rae is a full-service mechanical, electrical, communications, security and commissioning consultancy. They provide engineering consulting services to many clients in the commercial market, including office towers, low-rise commercial malls, high-rise condominiums and data centres. The firm’s reputation is built on its personal attention to client success that allows its commitment to sustainability to permeate from the top down and sit at the core of every design.

At Hidi Rae, they introduce their clients to incentive opportunities like the Save on Energy conservation programs available from PowerStream, not only because it makes sense for the client financially, but also because it fits perfectly with their own sustainable design philosophy. The more awareness there is around these initiatives, the more attractive and popular saving energy will become.

November 2012 CDM Champion – Provident Energy Management

Provident Energy Management, a leading energy services provider, was recognized by PowerStream as our first CDM Champion in November 2012 because of their efforts to utilize the Save on Energy conservation programs as a key part of the company’s business development strategy.

Provident Energy Management - November 2012 CDM Champion

Although Provident Energy Management offers a wide range of energy solutions to its customers it was specifically acknowledged for its energy retrofit services for existing buildings which include supply and installation of building automation systems, variable frequency drives as well as lighting and motion sensors.

Provident Energy Management understands that electricity costs are going to continue to rise. Delaying your retrofit job and hanging onto older energy-inefficient equipment will end up costing more down the road. Their best advice is to be proactive in making your retrofit investment decision, make sure you ask lots of questions and be confident in your decision.
